Responsible Development, Built on Partnership
At Cambria, we believe that responsible mining is grounded in strong relationships, environmental stewardship, and long-term accountability to the communities where we operate.
Our projects are located in northwestern British Columbia, near the communities of Stewart, British Columbia and Hyder, Alaska, within a region with a long history of mining and resource development.
We approach our work with respect for that history and a commitment to contributing positively to the region’s future.
Our approach rests on three pillars:
Indigenous Partnership and Respect
Cambria is honoured to operate as a guest on the traditional territory of the Nisg̱a’a Nation.
The Premier Gold Project and the Red Mountain Project are located within areas defined under the Nisg̱a’a Final Agreement — a modern treaty between Nisg̱a’a Nation, the Province of British Columbia, and the Government of Canada that establishes clear rights, responsibilities, and governance frameworks.
We are working closely with Nisg̱a’a Nation to:
- Build and maintain open, respectful, and collaborative relationships
- Assess and address potential impacts on Nisg̱a’a Treaty Rights
- Support capacity building, employment, and long-term economic opportunities
We are grateful to Nisg̱a’a Nation for approaching the development of these projects as a partnership, and for working with us to align development with shared priorities.
Environmental Stewardship
Environmental responsibility is integral to Cambria’s development approach.
We are committed to:
- Responsible water and tailings management
- Protection of wildlife and fish habitat
- Monitoring and minimizing environmental impacts
- Compliance with all applicable regulatory and permitting requirements
Our work is guided by existing permits, environmental assessments, and continuous engagement with regulators, Indigenous partners, and local communities.
Community Engagement
Cambria maintains close relationships with the District of Stewart and the surrounding region, including ongoing engagement with the Hyder, Alaska community.
We value the deep local knowledge, experience, and perspective of these communities and are committed to:
- Ongoing dialogue and transparency
- Local employment and contracting opportunities
- Long-term regional economic participation
Our objective is to ensure that project development contributes meaningfully during construction, operations, and beyond the life of the mine.
A Foundation for Long-Term Value
Strong community relationships, environmental stewardship, and respect for Indigenous rights are not separate from Cambria’s business strategy — they are fundamental to it.
We believe that projects built on trust, clarity, and collaboration are better positioned to succeed over the long term.
Transparency and Accountability
Cambria is committed to transparency in how we operate and communicate.
We report on environmental, social, and governance matters through formal disclosures and maintain open lines of communication with Indigenous partners, regulators, and local communities. Sustainability performance is reviewed as part of overall project governance, not as a standalone exercise.
ESG Reports
These reports reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainable policies and practices as we evolve from an exploration company to one focused on development.
The ESG Reports detail the policies, progress, and performance that guide how we operate, ensuring our projects create lasting value for people, communities, and the environment.
